Climate change work starts

The ESDP is taking forward work to develop an Edinburgh Climate Change Strategy. The Strategy which shall be integrated into other key initiatives is likely to focus on education, managing impacts and ensuring that Edinburgh plays its role in reducing carbon emissions. Resources have been secured for a seminar and workshop which shall be organised to progress this work early next year. The ESDP would like to thank the City of Edinburgh Council, Scotland and Northern Ireland Forum for Environmental Research, Lothian and Edinburgh Environmental Partnership, the UK Climate Change Impact Programme and the Scottish Executive for their interest and support in this work.
